EZRA Robotics and PLN Develop Robotic-Based Automated Inspection Solution at Gandul Substation

EZRA Robotics collaborated with PLN to develop a robotics-based automated inspection solution at the 150 kV GITET 500 Gandul Substation in Depok. Using AI-powered quadruped robot technology, the project delivers an intelligent inspection system capable of real-time energy infrastructure monitoring, improving efficiency, and ensuring workplace safety in high-risk environments.

EZRA Robotics together State Electricity Company (PLN) officially collaborate in development robotic-based automated inspection solutions in GITET 500 Gandul 150 kV Substation, Jl. PLN No. 6, Gandul, Cinere District, Depok City, West Java. This project is a concrete step in PLN's digital transformation towards a more efficient infrastructure maintenance system. efficient, accurate, and safe.

Through this collaboration, EZRA Robotics presents technology AI-based quadruped robot who is able to do self-inspection in high-risk areas. The robot is equipped with LiDAR sensors, bi-spectrum cameras, and autonomous navigation systems to monitor the condition of electrical equipment in real time. This technology enables early detection of potential faults and minimizes risks to field personnel.

The pilot project at the Gandul Main Substation is pilot project for testing and integration of automated inspection systems that can be applied across PLN's infrastructure network. With the ability to work in various weather and terrain conditions, the EZRA robot can perform scheduled inspection routes, capture visual and thermal data, and automatically generate equipment condition analysis reports.

This collaboration is part of PLN's commitment to adopting smart technologies and industry 4.0 solutions, while strengthening EZRA Robotics' mission in presenting real and relevant robotic innovations for the national energy sector. Both parties are optimistic that this initiative will be the first step towards full automation in energy infrastructure maintenance in Indonesia.
